Joanna Luisi Reinhardt grew up in Indianapolis and currently resides in Fishers Indiana. She is a homeschool alumna and homeschooling mother, with an expansive music background since early childhood.
She holds a Master of Music with a dual major in Voice Performance and Music Education from Butler University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Voice) from the University of Indianapolis. Joanna also completed Piano Pedagogy undergraduate coursework at UIndy and Piano Pedagogy graduate coursework at Butler University. She is also a former Licensed Kindermusik Educator.
Joanna has over a decade of music instruction experience, through her private studio and with the Butler Community Arts School at Butler University. She also has over two decades of extensive church music experience both in choral singing and as a soloist/cantor, with positions previously held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She has been a soloist around the greater-Indianapolis area for sporting events and graduations. She holds the Steffen Singer status (20-year member) in the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, and has sung in major choral works including Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 , Orff's Carmina Burana, Verdi's Requiem, and Mozart's Requiem, while performing in concert venues around the country including The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and Carnegie Hall in New York City. In previous full-time positions, Joanna enjoyed working in academic libraries for several years while gaining familiarity with music resources/databases.
Joanna enjoys spending time with her husband and their seven year old son, and dog Freddy (named after Frederic Chopin, of course - and their former dog Basie was named after the famous Jazz musician). When not singing or teaching, Joanna and her family love hiking in Indiana State Parks and adventuring on other Midwest outdoor excursions.
